Apsaalooke Immiio

Apsáalooke Immíio is a newly founded Native-led nonprofit based on the Crow Reservation in Montana. Formed through collaboration between elders and emerging youth leaders, the organization works to build community strength through land-based, community-driven initiatives.

During Crow Fair, documentation followed Board Chair JoRee LaFrance to capture the people and culture at the center of this work.With a small crew and minimal equipment, the focus stayed on the details, the environment, and the people. The approach remained intentionally flexible, allowing the event to unfold naturally while creating a set of visuals Apsáalooke Immíio could carry forward across their communications.
