Care firs
We respect the people and stories we photograph.
Ánimo Studio began with a simple curiosity: how creativity and art can help show the impact people are making in their communities. The unsung heroes. The volunteers leading with courage and spirit. Today we work with nonprofits, community programs, and small businesses to help them tell their stories clearly and honestly. Sometimes it’s a photo shoot. Sometimes it’s a brand system. Sometimes it’s sitting together and figuring out what your work is really trying to say.
We care about work that lasts. The world has enough noise. We’re here to help show the work happening behind the scenes—and the tears of joy when something finally comes together. If you care about your work and the people you serve, we’ll care right back.
I grew up in Winters, California, a small town that made me curious about the rest of the world, its cultures, beliefs, and people. As a kid I was shy and had a stutter, so I stayed quiet, but there was always a voice inside me wanting to be heard. I found that voice through photography. It gave me the confidence to step outside myself and see others more clearly. Over time I realized creativity could be a kind of megaphone, not for me but for the people doing meaningful work behind the scenes. Today I use photography and design to help communities, nonprofits, and small organizations share their stories with honesty and care.
We respect the people and stories we photograph.
We tell real stories, not louder ones.
Work should hold up over time.
We collaborate, not dictate.
We try things that matter.
